Stay at the temple famed for first introducing grapes to Japan over a 1,000 years ago. Simple, family-run accommodation including a hearty breakfast and dinner, plus the chance to try label-less wine made by the head monk himself from grapes grown in the temple grounds. Walk through the temple to the bath/shower room. Some Western-style rooms are en-suite, otherwise toilets are shared. Remember to bring your own towels. Book by phone, but bear in mind they don’t speak much English.
